The STAG Committee or School Travel Action Group is made up of pupils from years 1-6, Mrs Court, Mrs Jenkins and Mrs McGuire-Governor. They meet each half term to discuss issues relating to pupils travel to and from school and safety around the school entrance. They receive support from Mary Kelland of Bike-It and Sustrans, the local PCSTO’s Trevor and Chris and Sefton Travel Awareness.

Year 6 Eva & Alfie & Gabe
The STAG members have been very busy this year they have been involved in organising Bike-It Breakfasts, The Big Pedal, Wheelie Walkie Wednesdays, Year 5 Bikeability, Year 6 Transition, Year 1 Pedestrian Training and ensuring every child in school can ride a bike without stabilisers. Also recently Joe and Lauren, as part of the Eco Awards, were asked to do a presentation on their 6 years as STAG members.
On Wednesday 20th March we held a very successful Bike-It Breakfast. This was attended by the whole school and held on the playground. Our STAG team with the help of Mary Kelland (our Bike-It Officer) arranged the event. A healthy breakfast of cereal bars, fruit, yoghurt and fruit juice was served. Luckily the weather was good, cold but dry, and we has lots of children arrived on their bikes or scooters. Also we had PCSTO Trevor there registering bike with Merseyside Police.
Bike – It Celebration
The year 6 members of the STAG team, Lauren and Joe, recently attended a Celebration of Sefton Primary Schools commitment to cycling. It was held at the Ramada Hotel and they were praised for their six years’ service on the STAG team promoting road safety and cycling in our school. Champion Newspaper article
